Gaer Cares is the give-back arm of Gaer Wear, created to keep wearable clothing out of landfills and turn everyday purchases into meaningful, direct support for animals who need it most.
Through The Second Wear, we offer thoughtfully priced pieces that didn’t quite make the cut for our main collections—not because they’re flawed, but because they didn’t align perfectly with the edit. They’re still wearable, still lovable, and still worthy of a place in someone’s closet.
What Is The Second Wear?
The Second Wear is our intentionally curated resale section—pieces that may show a little more wear, fall outside current trends, or simply didn’t fit the main collection’s aesthetic. Nothing here is broken, unusable, or beyond its life.
These items are priced accessibly and thoughtfully and every single dollar goes toward care, not profit.

100% of proceeds from The Second Wear collection directly support Gaer Cares, which funds the care of a rural cat colony currently numbering 40–50+ cats.
These are cats that local city, town, and county resources have been unable to support. Gaer Cares exists to step in where systems fall short.
